3 Beat Fish is a comic centered around the student band Royal Fish. It is heavily inspired by Atsuko Shima's brilliant series of comic magazines, 8 Beat Gag. These focused on popular Western artists in the 1980s, including David Sylvian, Pete Burns, Robert Smith, Boy George, Siouxsie Sioux, Mötley Crüe, and many, many more.
